About

Chérie City is a guide to all the strange and exciting things to be found when you step off the main streets of Europe’s coolest cities.

Cherie City is for girls and boys that are equally enthralled by Eastern European artistic squat communities and afternoon Pret-a-Portea at The Berkeley – design freaks on an IKEA budget who won’t settle for just a Travelodge on holiday.

Discover off-the-map hidden bars and cafes, find out about upcoming events and get the low-down on the obvious city must-sees.

Chérie City is edited and designed by Neilufahr Alimohamadi, a London-based freelance journalist and travel addict.

ABOUT THE GIRL…

I am a half Iranian, half English city girl who moved from Newcastle to the bright lights of London almost 2 years ago, via land of the woolly jumpers, Glasgow.  I’ve moved around the city, but now live in a sweet little flat in Hackney with my boyfriend Steven, an art student at Byam Shaw.

I specialise in online journalism and have covered most subjects from arts, fashion and beauty to teen, music and travel.

My favourite things are my bi-annual trips to Paris, blogging, my new top notch Acer laptop, Comme des Garçons perfumes, fashion and art exhibitions, skiing and the fresh mountain air, independent book shops, Sunday roasts, Ladurée macaroons, coffee table books, Mexican food, big heels that I can’t walk in and fashion illustration.

  1. This is a beautifully written blog which encapsulates each of the collections without one unnecessary word.

I work in the industry and its great to see your writer can relay the essence of the collections without pretension or snobbery.

    Well done
